I was delighted by the story about the horses and I share your sentiments about optimism. I really do feel that in spite of all the terrible things going on, we will pull this this as a country and be better on the other side of it. I love the line "Our hopes need the oxygen of our imaginations to come true." That one is a keeper!! And hey--- I was really drawn to your article because that beautiful photo is very much like the one I snapped and used for my most recent Substack posting. Looking forward to reading more of your work!
